About this opportunity
The Late Dr E B Morgan Trust Memorial Scholarship is offered by Federation University Australia to support students studying at the Gippsland campus. The scholarship honors Dr E B Morgan, who was a prominent anaesthesiologist at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne for over 30 years and helped establish the Intensive Care Unit at both the Alfred Hospital and Auckland Hospital in New Zealand. He was part of the first successful heart transplant operation at the Alfred Hospital and served as Deputy Director of the Anaesthesia Department and Director of the Intensive Care Unit. The scholarship provides $5,000 in financial support to domestic students enrolled in bachelor-level higher education programs. Five scholarships are available annually, with 2 awarded to commencing students and 3 awarded to students in their 2nd or 3rd year of studies. This memorial scholarship aims to support the educational pursuits of students at the Gippsland campus, continuing Dr Morgan's legacy of dedication to education and mentorship.
