About this opportunity
The Lichfeldian Award is a £1,000 award created by The Wednesday Morning Class, an inspirational group whose philosophy values the interest in the humanities, arts, and continued learning. This award supports a final year student within Fashion or Surface Pattern and Textile Design who has demonstrated true passion and skill in their area whilst faced with financial barriers. Designed to encourage artistic experimentation, creation, and promotion of their work, the Lichfeldian Award will support the chosen artist by empowering them to pursue their passions without worrying about financial constraints. The funding is provided in two instalments of £500 each, directly to the student's bank account. The award winner must provide an update to be shared with the University and the Wednesday Morning Class on how they have used the money and how it has supported them with their course, and must also be willing to be involved in University publicity campaigns.
