About This Opportunity

The Lorne Dotterer Scholarship provides financial support for the advanced study of music, with a specific focus on fostering excellence in the music of Christian worship. The scholarship honors Lorne Dotterer, who was a church musician and school music teacher whose career centered in Goderich, Clinton, and Mitchell, Ontario. Candidates must be high school graduates performing at minimum Conservatory Grade VIII level before becoming eligible. Preference is given to candidates already involved in or planning to pursue a career in music directly related to worship in the Christian church, and to candidates from Huron and Perth counties in Ontario, though applications from further afield will be given serious consideration. The winning candidate must demonstrate potential to increase musical skill, knowledge and insight from their proposed programme of study and to apply these in Christian worship.
