About this opportunity
This scholarship provides financial support to students who are conducting fieldwork for the purposes of research in Italian Studies. The scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to PhD, Master of Philosophy, Masters of Arts (Research) or Honours students at the University of Sydney's School of Languages and Cultures. Recipients must conduct research in the field of Italian Studies and stay in Italy for a minimum of 3 months. Preference is given to applicants undertaking research in the areas of the culture of Renaissance Italy which may advance the understanding of contemporary societies, and then to applicants who can demonstrate financial hardship or other forms of disadvantage. The funding is to be used for fieldwork expenses related to the specified research project only.
