About this opportunity
The Massey University Foundation Enabling Excellence Bursary was established in 2015 through the Enabling Excellence Fund, created specifically to allow Massey University staff to make financial gifts supporting students in financial hardship. This bursary provides financial assistance to postgraduate students who experience general hardship or unforeseen changes in their financial circumstances during their postgraduate programme of study.
The bursary is available to students enrolled full-time at any of Massey's campuses or by distance learning in a Postgraduate Diploma or Master's Degree programme. Doctoral candidates are not eligible for this award. The bursary provides up to $5,000 in funding for one year's duration, with one award available per cycle.
Selection is based on genuine financial hardship, a record of academic success to date, and good character. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents studying full-time. The bursary aims to enable postgraduate students to continue their studies despite financial challenges that might otherwise prevent them from completing their educational goals.
