About this opportunity
The Max Engel Memorial Law Bursary is intended to support a graduating undergraduate student who will be undertaking postgraduate study leading to a law-based career. The bursary is administered by the University of Northampton in memory of Max Engel, a local solicitor who was highly respected within his profession and the community. Max Engel and Co LLP also offers the successful applicant the opportunity to undertake work experience for a 2 week period in their offices, though this is not a requirement for accepting the bursary. The bursary is open to any final year undergraduate student at the University of Northampton who has at least 200 credits from the undergraduate Law Field module catalogue. The award panel evaluates candidates based on academic background, academic progress made while at university, contribution to the life of the University and to the Law Division, any difficulties the student has had to overcome in obtaining their degree, and other relevant criteria. The successful candidate must provide evidence of having commenced the further course of study which the bursary is intended to support before receiving the bursary funds.
