About this opportunity
The Movement Fund offers grants or pledges from £300 to £15,000 for physical activity projects in the community. The focus is on people who face barriers to activity and projects designed to help them join in. Each year the Movement Fund invests more than £20 million of National Lottery and government money to support projects that match the goal of getting more people active, reducing the number of inactive people and tackling long-standing inequalities. The fund prioritizes projects that give opportunities to people who typically have had fewer chances to be active. Applications can be submitted on a rolling basis with no submission deadline, and applicants should apply at least 12 weeks before they want to start activity or spend any money. Decisions are usually made within six to eight weeks. Projects can include setting up new activity sessions, improving or creating new spaces for people to be active, providing equipment, improving environmental sustainability while providing physical activity opportunities, supporting organisations to build capacity and capability, or responding to emergencies that impact physical activity.
