About this opportunity
The Nellie Thomas Bursary assists Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students with the additional costs associated with studying medicine and health at university. This scholarship is specifically designed to support Indigenous students pursuing programs in the field of Medicine or Health at Griffith University. The bursary provides approximately $2000 for one semester to help cover study-related expenses. To be eligible, applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents, identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, demonstrate financial disadvantage, and be accepted into or enrolled in a Medicine or Health program. The application requires submission of study details, personal background information including financial disadvantage documentation, and personal statements covering career goals, how the bursary will assist, and challenges overcome.
