The Olive Margaret Stewart Bequest

The Olive Margaret Stewart Bequest provides financial support to students at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music who are studying music and voice. This scholarship was established from the estate of Olive Margaret Stewart to assist students pursuing coursework or research degrees in music and voice. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, portfolio, and/or performance. For postgraduate research applicants, the award may also consider research achievements and potential. No application is necessary as eligible students are automatically considered as part of their admission application to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music on a case-by-case basis and will be stipulated in the scholarship offer letter to successful recipients. For coursework students, payments are made in two equal instalments each semester, while postgraduate research students receive a fortnightly stipend. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance and meet ongoing eligibility requirements to continue receiving the scholarship.
