About this opportunity
The Order of Saint Lazarus Nursing Scholarship provides financial support and encouragement to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from the Kimberley and Pilbara regions of Western Australia. The scholarship supports students enrolled in vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate studies with the School of Nursing and Midwifery at The University of Notre Dame Australia Broome or Fremantle Campuses.
The Scholarship is valued at up to $15,000 for the duration of the course. Eligible applicants must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who identify as such and are recognized by their community. They must be enrolled in full-time studies at the School of Nursing and Midwifery at The University of Notre Dame Australia on the Broome or Fremantle campus and meet the criteria to be considered a rural student from the Kimberley or Pilbara region.
One scholarship is offered annually. Applications are managed directly through the University of Notre Dame. This scholarship is specifically designed to increase Indigenous participation in nursing education and to support students from remote and regional areas of Western Australia in pursuing healthcare careers.
