About this opportunity
The Potential Pool for Composers and Songwriters is aimed at applicants in all genres who are in a start-up or restart phase of their career. This includes young people at the start of their careers or others who are either beginning their careers or returning to the music scene after a break, such as after maternity/paternity leave, illness, or other circumstances, and therefore lack start-up or restart support. The pool supports three types of grants: work grants (personal grants to support immersion in writing and composing music), education grants (supporting shorter, non-SU-eligible educational courses such as mentorship, courses, continuing education, and private lessons), and project grants (supporting specific expenses for projects that result in a product such as a publication, concert, or PR campaign). All projects must relate to newly created music with the applicant's own works, where the applicant is the author of all or part of the work. As a general rule, support amounts range between DKK 5,000 and DKK 25,000. Applicants can submit one application per deadline and obtain a total of 3 grants from the pool before moving to other pools under Koda Kultur.
