About This Opportunity

In 2008, following the first intake to the Graduate Entry to Medicine programme, University College Cork established an annual Prize and Certificate awarded to the top two students in the First Year Graduate Entry Medicine class. The Prize is awarded to the student with the highest aggregate mark in the First Year Summer Examinations, while the Certificate is awarded to the student with the second highest aggregate mark. Both awards require the achievement of First Honours in all subjects. Candidates eligible for these awards are those registered as First Year Graduate Entry to Medicine Students at UCC during the current session, whose aggregate marks place them first and second in specific modules: GM1001, GM1002, GM1003, GM1010 and GM1020. The Prize carries a monetary award of €500, while the Certificate is awarded without a monetary component. These awards recognize academic excellence and high merit in the first year of the Graduate Entry to Medicine programme.
