About this opportunity
The Professor Gerald Fitzgerald Research Award is presented to the School of Microbiology postgraduate research student who submits the best publication in terms of Journal Ranking, Impact, Novelty and Applicant Contribution. The award is adjudicated by the Graduate Studies Committee in the School of Microbiology at University College Cork. Winners of this award are entered into the SEFS Postgraduate Research Publications of the Year Competition. Applications are submitted annually in November/December for a mid-late January deadline and require a PDF copy of the research paper with evidence of acceptance or publication, a 200-word statement on impact and novelty, and a 100-word statement describing the applicant's contribution to the paper.
