About this opportunity
The PWC Prize for First Accounting and Finance Students is an annual award sponsored by PWC at University College Cork. The prize recognizes eligible first-year BSc Accounting and BSc Finance students who achieve the highest combined aggregate marks in four specific accounting modules during their first sitting. The competition is based on performance in Financial Accounting Fundamentals, Accounting for Partnerships and Companies, Introduction to Management Accounting 1, and Introduction to Management Accounting 2. Three prizes are awarded annually: a first prize of €1,000, a second prize of €500, and a third prize of €250. In the event of a tie in the specified subjects, the student with the highest total aggregate mark for the year in their Semester 1 and Semester 2 examinations will receive the prize. If a further tie occurs, the prizes will be shared among the tied students.
