About This Opportunity

The PWC Prize for First Year Commerce is an annual academic prize awarded to undergraduate students at University College Cork who demonstrate outstanding academic performance in their first year of Bachelor of Commerce studies. PWC sponsors this prize to recognize excellence in foundational business education. The prize is awarded to eligible students who achieve the highest combined aggregate marks in their first sitting of four core first-year modules: AC1100 (Introduction to Accounting), EC1207 (Principles of the Micro Economy), MA1100 (Introductory Mathematics for Business), and ST1023 (Introduction to Business Statistics). Three prize levels are offered: first prize of €1,000, second prize of €500, and third prize of €300. In the event of a tie, prizes will be shared among the top-performing students. This award recognizes academic merit and achievement in essential business disciplines during the critical first year of undergraduate commerce education.
