About This Opportunity

The Robert and Cheryle Poddubiuk Bedford Access Scholarship provides a tuition fee reduction of £8,100 for students with demonstrated financial need pursuing their first taught Masters degree at Royal Holloway, University of London. One scholarship is available for new full-time or part-time students with Home or International fee status studying within specific academic departments including Classics, Earth Sciences, Economics, English, Geography, Health Studies, History, Law and Criminology, Politics, International Relations and Philosophy, Psychology, and Social Work. Eligible applicants must have achieved, or be on target to achieve, a First Class Honours degree or equivalent and must be able to demonstrate financial need, meaning they would be unable to undertake further study without the financial support of the scholarship. This scholarship is specifically designed to support access to postgraduate education for high-achieving students who face financial barriers to pursuing their academic goals. Applicants must submit a supporting statement of no more than 400 words addressing their academic achievements, reasons for choosing their degree program, future aspirations, financial circumstances, and how the scholarship would enable them to share and advance knowledge for future generations. The scholarship cannot be held alongside other Royal Holloway tuition fee scholarships or discounts. Applications exceeding the word count will be automatically rejected.
