About this opportunity
The Rosemary Samios Research Awards in Celtic Studies provides support for research in the area of Celtic studies for postgraduate students or academic staff at the University of Sydney. This scholarship is available to Master's by research or PhD students, or academic affiliates in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences who are undertaking research in Celtic languages, culture or history. The award provides funding for project or activity expenses including travel for primary research, research assistance, purchase and reproduction of research materials, activities to showcase research outputs, marking relief, conference-related expenses, visits by scholarly experts, or holding conferences and seminars. The award has been established through a donation by Mrs Rosemary Samios to support research excellence in Celtic studies. Recipients may apply again for the award for a different purpose, but not in the same calendar year. The selection committee evaluates applications based on academic excellence and merit, curriculum vitae, budget justification, and the research project or activity's relevance, significance, innovativeness, approach, methodology, outcome and impact.
