The RSL Medical Elective Scholarship

The RSL Medical Elective Scholarship is a financial award established in 2024 to support students studying at the University of Sydney School of Medicine (Sydney Medical School) in undertaking their elective term studies in an Asia-Pacific region. The scholarship is valued at up to $3,500 and is awarded as a one-off payment to eligible students. This scholarship is specifically designed for students enrolled in the third year of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program who are undertaking an Elective Term in an Asia-Pacific region for the full duration of the approved elective term period. Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply. The scholarship was established through donations from the Returned & Services League of Australia Limited (RSL). Selection is based on academic merit, curriculum vitae, and a personal statement outlining the elective term itinerary, goals, commitment to studies, and why the applicant deserves the scholarship. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
