About this opportunity
The RSL Medical Elective Scholarship provides financial support to Doctor of Medicine students undertaking their elective term studies in the Asia-Pacific region. Established in 2024, this scholarship was donated by the Returned & Services League of Australia Limited to assist students studying at the University of Sydney School of Medicine (Sydney Medical School).
The scholarship is designed to support third-year MD students in pursuing their elective term clinical experiences in the Asia-Pacific region. Recipients are selected based on academic merit, curriculum vitae, academic reference, and a personal statement that includes a detailed itinerary of their elective term, goals for the placement, commitment to study, and justification for receiving the scholarship.
This funding opportunity is available to both domestic and international students currently enrolled in the third year of the Doctor of Medicine program at Sydney Medical School. The scholarship provides a one-off payment to help offset the costs associated with undertaking elective term studies in the Asia-Pacific region.
