About This Opportunity

The Sir Simon Robertson Scholarship is awarded to outstanding undergraduate students entering the Faculty of Engineering at Imperial College London. The scholarship provides a cash bursary of £8,000 per annum for up to 4 years, excluding repeat periods of study. Two scholarships are available each year to support talented students from lower-income households. The award aims to support Home students who have been assessed for financial support and have a household income of less than £70,000 per annum. Recipients are selected based on academic merit as assessed from their predicted A-Level results and UCAS application form. The scholarship is available to students entering any department within the Faculty of Engineering, including Aeronautics, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computing, Design Engineering, Earth Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Materials, and Mechanical Engineering. Successful scholars will be expected to meet with donors on occasions and submit an annual progress report.

Review process

Applicants are automatically considered based on UCAS application and financial assessment through Student Finance England. Departments assess academic merit from predicted A-Level results and UCAS application, then rank candidates. Final selection is made by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
