The Southeast Asian Alumni Scholarship

This scholarship has been established through the generosity of alumni from Malaysia and Singapore to support the next generation of students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. It aims to assist students who have the ambition and academic talent to thrive but face financial hardship that may hold them back. The scholarship is available to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who are entering their second year of undergraduate study. The scholarship provides $8,000 per year paid as a stipend in two instalments of $4,000 each trimester. Selection is based on demonstrated financial hardship, satisfactory academic performance, and preference may be given to students who have contributed to their community or have volunteer experience.
