About This Opportunity

The Strathclyde Taught Postgraduate Bursary supports access to study at Postgraduate Diploma and Masters level for students from lower income backgrounds or who face additional financial barriers to study at this level. Successful applicants will be offered an award for one year if studying full time, or split over two years if studying part time. Awards will normally be £3000 in one year for full time study or £1500 per year over two years for part time study. The panel has the discretion to award an additional £1000 to successful applicants who are likely to be in a particularly vulnerable position. This bursary is available for all Postgraduate Masters and PG Diploma courses except the MBA and PGDE. Applicants must not have already completed a postgraduate course (except a PGDE) in the UK. The bursary aims to support students who meet specific financial criteria, including those who were in receipt of various student funding support during undergraduate studies or who are currently in receipt of means-tested benefits.
