About this opportunity
This scholarship supports postgraduate research students conducting research with the Sydney Institute of Agriculture at the University of Sydney. The program consists of two components: a stipend scholarship and a supplementary scholarship. The stipend scholarship provides an annual stipend equivalent to the minimum Research Training Program (RTP) stipend rate, currently $33,511 per annum. The supplementary scholarship provides an additional $10,000 per year. Both scholarships are tenable for up to 3.5 years for PhD recipients and up to 1.75 years for master's by research recipients, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Recipients must be full-time students who have applied for the RTP Scholarship at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, area of study and research proposal, and a personal statement demonstrating interest in agriculture. Successful applicants are selected on the nomination of the Dean of the Faculty of Science.
