The Thompson Study Support Scholarship

The Thompson Study Support Scholarship supports students who have completed one semester of study in their first undergraduate degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Offered for the first time in 2015, this scholarship funds students commencing an undergraduate study program (up to four years) at UniSC. The scholarship is generously funded by Mr and Mrs Thompson, whose $5 million gift to the university generates revenue specifically to support this program. The Scholarship commences from Study Period 2 of the student recipient's undergraduate program, once the student has achieved 48 units but less than 96 units at the time of award. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and balance paid employment or significant commitments that impact their ability to study, such as compulsory fieldwork, professional placement, or significant carer's responsibilities. Priority is given to equity students as identified by UniSC Student Services.
