About this opportunity
This Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students who are studying a Master of Global Health at the University of Sydney and experiencing hardship and/or disadvantage. The scholarship is valued at $7,500 and is tenable for one full-time semester, with the value paid directly towards the student's tuition fees. It aims to support students who have faced various forms of hardship including financial hardship, coming from a non-English speaking background, long-term difficult family circumstances, being from a rural or isolated area, or identifying as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit, the application for admission to the Master of Global Health degree, demonstrated evidence of hardship and/or disadvantage, a cover letter outlining the applicant's relative hardship and/or disadvantage, and a curriculum vitae. For part-time students, the scholarship amount is reduced to 50% of the full-time rate. The scholarship applies to the same semester in which the student submitted their scholarship application and cannot be deferred, suspended, or transferred to another University school or Faculty.
