About This Opportunity

The University of Sydney Law School Dean's Mobility Scholarship was established in 2022 to support student mobility by providing financial support for students to participate in School-specific international mooting and offshore programs. The scholarship is valued at up to $3,000 and is awarded as a one-off payment to eligible law students. This scholarship is available to both domestic and international students who are currently enrolled full-time or part-time in the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degrees at the University of Sydney Law School. Recipients must have been approved by the Law School to undertake an international moot or School-specific law offshore programs. The scholarship has no separate application process and is auto-awarded based on academic merit and a personal statement. The personal statement must demonstrate why the applicant wants to participate in the international moot or offshore mobility program, how it will further their academic, career and personal goals, and the contributions the applicant has made to the University and/or community including volunteering, extracurricular and sporting activities. The scholarship is awarded on the nomination of a selection committee consisting of the Dean of the Sydney Law School or their nominated delegate and one other staff member from the School.
