About this opportunity
The University of Sydney Law School Dean's Scholarship aims to assist exceptional international students commencing in the Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) course at the University of Sydney Law School. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and a personal statement demonstrating leadership experience, communication skills, personal interests, community engagement, and reasons for pursuing the study of law.
Two scholarship amounts are offered based on the applicant's ranking against the selection criteria: full tuition fees for the duration of the degree, or $10,000 per annum for the duration of the degree. The scholarship is funded by the Sydney Law School and is designed to support outstanding international students pursuing legal education at one of Australia's leading law schools.
Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 and remain enrolled full-time (24 credit points per semester) to continue receiving the scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to students who have not yet commenced their JD or LLM studies, ensuring support from the beginning of their legal education journey.
