About This Opportunity

The Vasanta Scholarship supports students studying violin, viola, violoncello, piano or organ at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Established in 2011 from a donation by Marrianne Collinson Close, this scholarship assists outstanding students to undertake studies in these musical disciplines. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit and/or portfolio and/or performance. For postgraduate research applicants, the scholarship may also be awarded on the basis of research achievements and potential. No application is necessary as eligible students will be automatically considered for this scholarship as part of their admission application to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and stipulated in the scholarship offer letter to successful recipients.
