The Virginia Tech Tribal Match Scholarship

Funded by Virginia Tech, the Virginia Tech Tribal Match Scholarship is a one-time scholarship for eligible students receiving scholarships from a Virginia Recognized Tribal Scholarship Program, including the Virginia Tribal Education Consortium (VTEC). As part of the application process students must provide confirmation of a Virginia Recognized Tribal Scholarship Program award or VTEC award. Upon approval, the university will match the scholarship funding 1-1 per applicant up to $2,500 annually. Students receiving a renewable Tribal Scholarship shall have their scholarship matched annually. This scholarship provides critical financial support to students from Virginia's recognized tribal communities, helping to reduce barriers to higher education and promote educational access for indigenous students.
