About this opportunity
The Walter Reid Scholarship provides financial assistance to Higher Degree by Research students who are undertaking research in Law including the areas of constitutional law, legal history or property law. The scholarship supports overseas research undertaken as part of a PhD or master's by research degree within the Sydney Law School. Established in 1948, this scholarship is funded by Kathleen Mary Evangeline Maxwell's donation to the University in memory of her late brother, Mr Walter Edward Reid. The scholarship provides a one-off payment of up to $10,000 to support overseas research expenses. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic merit, a personal statement outlining the alignment of their overseas research with the eligible subject areas, and a budget outlining proposed expenses and any other funding obtained to support the overseas research.
