The War Widows and Widowed Mothers Association Scholarship

The War Widows and Widowed Mothers Association (WW&WMA) Scholarship is awarded to support students who are service members or immediate family members of service members. The WW&WMA was founded in Melbourne in 1922 with the aim of improving conditions for bereaved widows following World War I. The scholarship fund was established to encourage community spirit and service through educational support. The scholarship is valued at $2,500 and is available to domestic students at Federation University Australia across multiple campuses including Ballarat, Berwick, Gippsland, online, and Wimmera. It supports both new and continuing students undertaking bachelor, honours, or postgraduate studies. One scholarship is available annually, with the application period opening in January and closing in March each year.
