About This Opportunity

This scholarship was established in 2004 and is maintained by an endowment from the estate of the late Warren Braxton Bannister. The purpose of the bursaries is to support undergraduate students enrolled in programs relating to social science, political science and government. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students who demonstrate financial need along with academic achievement in relevant coursework. Recipients are selected based on multiple criteria including financial need, academic achievement in courses related to social science, political science and government, personal qualities including leadership potential, and other factors relevant to future professional success.
