The Wilfred R. Chan International Conference Travel Award

The Wilfred R. Chan International Conference Travel Award is established to foster international identity with, and collaboration in, the field of Natural Products Chemistry and to facilitate career development. Support in the form of a grant is awarded to graduate students in the Department of Chemistry towards travel and conference expenses to attend relevant overseas conferences or meetings in order to make an oral presentation of their research in Natural Products. Each successful recipient will obtain a maximum of US$1,000 towards the costs for registration, airfare, and accommodation associated with the conference. The award is available annually to graduate student researchers in the field of Natural Products Chemistry at The UWI, Mona Campus, with priority given to students who have satisfactorily completed at least one year of their natural products research programme and who have been accepted to make an approved oral presentation at a relevant international conference.
