About this opportunity
The Zelda Stedman Artist Scholarship provides support to students at Sydney College of the Arts who are experiencing financial hardship or disadvantage. This scholarship is valued at $2,000 and is awarded to students undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in visual arts. The scholarship is funded by a bequest from Zelda Stedman and aims to support students facing various forms of hardship including low socio-economic status, carer or sole-parent responsibilities, long-term medical conditions, regional or remote disadvantage, refugee status, LGBTIQ+ identification, being first in family, or identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Recipients are selected based on academic merit, portfolio quality, evidence of hardship, and a personal statement demonstrating their commitment to studying visual art at Sydney College of the Arts and the impact of their hardship on their studies.
