About this opportunity

TheDream.US scholarships are designed for highly motivated undocumented students with or without DACA or TPS who aspire to obtain a college education but face significant financial barriers. These students have no access to federal aid, limited access to state aid, and sometimes face out-of-state tuition costs. The scholarship program recognizes the unique challenges that Dreamer students encounter daily and provides comprehensive financial support to help them achieve their academic and career goals. The National Scholarship Award helps cover tuition and fees at one of TheDream.US Partner Colleges up to a maximum of $33,000 for a bachelor's degree. In addition to tuition support, scholars receive a stipend for books, supplies, and transportation up to a maximum of $6,000. While GPA is considered in the selection process, the program places great emphasis on dedication to community service and commitment to academic and career success despite the barriers faced by Dreamer students. The award is renewable each year and follows students through the completion of their bachelor's degree. Recipients must continue to meet eligibility criteria and renew the award annually in June. Applications are open to first-generation immigrant students who came to the U.S. before the age of 16 and before November 1, 2020.
