The Thomas H. Convery '78 Scholarship for Community Service was established by Tom Convery, a proud alumnus of the Class of 1978, in honor of his commitment to Westfield State University. Tom is a dedicated supporter of community service and has devoted his life to giving back to others. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide vital financial support for undergraduate students at Westfield State University who are committed to making a difference through community involvement both on and off campus. Students are selected based on their demonstrated commitment to community service in a volunteer capacity. Recipients must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5, and submit an essay demonstrating their strong commitment to community service. Applicants may only receive this award once during their academic career.
