Thonock Aspiration Fund for Schools (TAFS)

The Thonock Aspiration Fund for Schools (TAFS) supports the wellbeing, aspirations, and opportunities of children attending school settings in Gainsborough and the surrounding area. Funded by the Thonock Trust and administered by Lincolnshire Community Foundation, this grant helps enrich school life through fun, inspiring, and inclusive activities. Grants are available to help children participate in extracurricular activities including whole school or class-based projects such as outings, experiences, and group activities, as well as school groups or clubs requiring equipment, kits, or transport costs. The fund provides approximately £7,000 per year in small grants of up to £300 per project, with applications assessed monthly and urgent requests potentially fast-tracked. Payments are usually made in advance, and successful applicants must spend the funds within 12 months and provide a brief report explaining how the funds benefited the children.
