About this opportunity

Troms fylkeskommune is announcing 9 million Norwegian kroner in 2026 for projects that can contribute to business and social development in Troms. The funds aim to support regional economic development through projects that deliver innovative and sustainable solutions. The program supports the county's goals in the Regional Planning Strategy for Troms 2025-2028 and the Strategy for Business Development in Troms 2023-2028. The funding is designed to increase regional value creation and profitable jobs, ensure access to relevant competence and workforce for green transition, contribute to innovative solutions and new collaboration constellations with lasting regional effects, increase the region's robustness in relation to the geopolitical situation, and create good meeting places between young people and business life. Projects must support one or more of four priority areas: green business, sustainable resource use, attractive communities, and the Arctic perspective. The program supports two types of projects: preliminary projects (forprosjekt) with a maximum duration of 12 months and funding up to 500,000 NOK, and main projects (hovedprosjekt) with a maximum duration of 3-4 years and funding up to 2 million NOK. The grant can cover a maximum of 50% of approved project costs, with the remainder financed through co-financing or in-kind contributions. Applications must be submitted through www.regionalforvaltning.no and will be processed continuously by the Main Committee for Business, Climate and Environment as long as funds are available. Deadlines in 2026 are January 5, March 15, and June 15.
