This grant program addresses fire safety in dense wooden building environments with cultural heritage value. Fire is a major threat to historic wooden structures, and this funding supports the national goal of preventing the loss of irreplaceable national cultural values through fire. The program specifically targets 30 designated dense wooden building areas in Vestland County. Eligible projects must be collective measures that strengthen fire safety throughout the entire area, rather than individual property improvements. The grant supports initiatives in four main categories: fire detection systems, preventing fire spread, simple fire suppression equipment, and development of fire safety plans. Priority is given to projects based on cultural-historical value, accessibility for fire services, risk of fire spread, effectiveness of proposed measures, and innovative approaches with transferable value to other areas.
