Tilskot til freda bygningar i privat eige – frå før 1537

This grant program provides economic support for privately owned protected buildings from before 1537 (medieval period). The goal is to ensure these buildings are maintained at a normal level while preserving their historical value. These structures are among the oldest wooden buildings in the world, and great emphasis is placed on preserving authentic materials. The program supports restoration, conservation of fixed inventory, securing and heavier maintenance work that brings the building to a normal maintenance level, as well as initiatives that contribute to documentation, knowledge development and research on medieval buildings. Grants are provided from the state budget.
