About this opportunity

This is a grant program offered by Vestland fylkeskommune (Vestland County Municipality) to support private owners and managers of protected cultural heritage from after 1537. The program aims to preserve protected cultural monuments and cultural environments in private ownership, and to help restore them according to antiquarian guidelines. The grant ensures the source value of cultural monuments and cultural environments, maintains the prerequisites for providing experiences, and facilitates sustainable value creation and use. Grants cover additional costs, in whole or in part, that follow from requirements for antiquarian execution in securing, restoration, maintenance and management. The program prioritizes particularly burdensome maintenance and restoration tasks for the owner, and buildings and facilities where particularly large cultural environment values are at risk of being lost. Grant recipients can use 10-15 percent of the grant for project management or project follow-up associated with measures for which grants are awarded.
