Tilskot til vilttiltak

Vestland fylkeskommune provides grants for wildlife measures (vilttiltak) to support various initiatives related to wildlife management and conservation. The program aims to facilitate value creation and recruitment to hunting and trapping activities, provide information about hunting opportunities, and support the mapping of wildlife resources and their habitats. The grants are part of the county government's role as a wildlife authority under the Wildlife Act, providing guidance and advice to municipalities and regional organizations. Supported activities include the integration of wildlife interests in municipal plans according to the Planning and Building Act, establishment and operation of local cooperation councils, participation in rights holders' management planning work, and management-related research and monitoring. Applications that form part of systematic planning work are prioritized for funding.
