Villreinfjellet som verdiskaper (Wild Reindeer Mountains as Value Creator) is a grant program that aims to stimulate broad value creation linked to Norway's ten national wild reindeer areas, particularly oriented toward various parts of the tourism industry. The program supports the implementation of regional plans for national wild reindeer areas and develops and disseminates knowledge about wild reindeer and mountain environments to various target groups. Projects must contribute to environmental, social, cultural, and economic value creation within the 60 municipalities across 8 counties covered by the regional plans. Projects can have a duration of 1-3 years and must include multiple sub-projects and measures that together fulfill the project's objectives. The program emphasizes establishing projects with geographical spread and diversity of issues and opportunities related to different national wild reindeer areas.
