This grant program provides financial support to agricultural enterprises in Norway to cover the costs of replacement workers during illness or childbirth-related absences. The program aims to help finance replacement costs when farmers need to be away from their operations due to illness, injury, pregnancy, childbirth, adoption, or care responsibilities. Enterprises engaged in livestock production or year-round greenhouse production can receive support throughout the calendar year, while those in plant or honey production can receive support during the growing season (onnetida), generally from April 15 to October 1. The program also covers replacement needs when farmers must care for sick children or in the event of a farmer's death, where surviving family members can receive support for up to 8 weeks. Maximum daily support is 2,700 NOK for replacement work performed in 2026 and 2,600 NOK for work in 2025, with special rates for pregnancy and childbirth-related replacement at 3,050 NOK in 2026. The actual amount depends on work income, sick pay deductions, and documented replacement costs.
