About this opportunity

This grant program supports fire protection of dense wooden house areas of cultural-historical value in Norway. The funding aims to achieve the national goal that fires resulting in loss of irreplaceable national cultural values should not occur. Grants can be provided for areas and individual objects within such areas that are defined by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage (Riksantikvaren) as dense wooden house areas of cultural-historical value. The main goal is that all areas should have a fire protection plan and that all measures in the plan should be implemented. Plans should be evaluated and updated regularly. The funding can be used for measures that contribute to quick fire detection, prevent fire spread, and facilitate easy extinguishing, including the development of fire protection plans.
