About this opportunity

This grant program aims to strengthen producer communities in Nordland, Troms, and Finnmark counties in Northern Norway, counteract farm decline, increase land use, and raise competence in the agricultural sector and food value chain. The program seeks to exploit regional advantages and opportunities within Arctic agriculture. For 2026, work packages 3 and 4 are prioritized, with emphasis on larger initiatives involving multiple stakeholders. Projects with effects across the entire region are preferred, with priority given to projects covering all of Northern Norway. Projects related to berries, vegetables, and potatoes should be anchored in the Action Plan for Vegetable Production in Northern Norway 2024-2027. The grant supports partnerships, research institutions, municipalities, and organizations working to develop the agricultural sector in northern Norway through sustainable food production and value creation initiatives.
