Tilskudd til drift av seniorsenter på Bygdøy i bydel Frogner 2024–2026 (2027 og 2028)

Bydel Frogner in Oslo municipality is offering a grant for operating a senior center at Bygdøy for the period 2024-2026 with an option for 2 additional years (2027 and 2028), subject to annual budget approval. The grant is provided according to regulations on allocation of grants for operation of senior centers in the district. Senior centers are part of the district's support services for the elderly and are a priority area for Oslo municipality as a health-promoting and preventive measure. A senior center is defined as a social meeting place for elderly people that stimulates voluntary effort and activity, thereby counteracting isolation and loneliness. The center should promote mental and physical health among the elderly, be an arena for their value-creating efforts, and be a central link in health promotion and disease prevention work for the elderly in the district. The purpose of this funding scheme is to contribute to predictable frameworks for operating senior centers in the district for non-commercial operators in the form of idealistic and voluntary actors such as congregations. The grant supports facilities that provide varied activities for multiple generations of seniors, daily meal service, physical activities, support for people with early cognitive decline, and maintain regular opening hours throughout the year.
