About this opportunity
This grant program from Oslo Kommune supports initiatives that promote good animal welfare, reduce consumption of meat and animal products, and increase knowledge about animal welfare. The program is one of the general measures in Oslo Municipality's action plan for animal welfare, aimed at increasing awareness and knowledge about animal welfare in Oslo, and to strengthen and develop existing efforts. The program has 2,000,000 NOK to distribute. Applications are considered for time-limited activities and projects with expenses directly related to the initiative, such as project-specific salary costs. Special emphasis is placed on the degree to which the initiative leads to good animal welfare, and priority is given to applicants working with animal welfare and animal protection. Grants can be provided for concrete initiatives in Oslo Municipality that promote good animal welfare for pets, farm animals (including measures for reduced consumption of meat and animal products), and wild animals.
