Tilskudd til dyrevelferd

Bergen kommune offers financial support to organizations working directly with animals in need of help. The grant aims to contribute to animal welfare in a broad sense, and is not limited to specific animal species. Organizations actively helping animals and located in Bergen municipality can apply for this funding. The grant supports information campaigns, awareness programs about responsible pet ownership, ID-marking of animals, cat sterilization programs, and other activities that promote animal welfare. Applications must describe the organization's activities, specify how the funds will be used with a budget, and demonstrate the benefit to animal welfare. Final reporting requires an accounting statement showing how the grant was used and demonstrating the welfare benefit achieved. There is a requirement that rehomed animals must be neutered/sterilized and ID-marked.
