Tilskudd til forskning i bedrifter (FORREGION)

FORREGION is a grant program by Buskerud County in collaboration with the Research Council of Norway (Forskningsrådet). The program is designed for businesses with little or no experience in research and development (R&D) and supports smaller R&D projects at the pilot project stage. The purpose is to familiarize businesses with research as an innovation tool and to trigger further research activity. The program supports pilot projects with potential for value creation and sustainable innovation, whether new or improved products, services, or production processes. The program covers three focus areas: Climate, environment and energy (renewable energy, energy efficiency, food/agriculture, bio-based production, nature and resource management, water/sewage, etc.); Health and welfare (health and welfare technology, public health, service development, education/upbringing, etc.); and Local community development (tourism and experiences, attractiveness, culture, transport, construction, etc.). A team of competent advisors called 'competence brokers' help businesses find relevant collaboration partners and guide them through the project development process. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis.
