Tilskudd til frøavl

This grant program supports seed cultivation in Norway for grasses, legumes, root vegetables, and vegetables, as well as natural seeds of regionally adapted pollinator-friendly flower species. The program aims to promote cultivation and seed supply of climate-adapted varieties. Approved seed businesses can apply for subsidies on behalf of their contract growers. The subsidy scheme includes price subsidies, area subsidies for replanting and first-year meadow mowing in organic seed cultivation, subsidies for failed crops (guarantee subsidies), and subsidies for seed storage. Seed businesses forward the price and area subsidies to individual growers while storage subsidies are retained by the businesses.
